Alleged pimp nabbed at Boise motel

June 14, 2013

A California man was arrested at a Boise motel Thursday night after police say they found evidence that he was arranging the activities of two prostitutes.

Officers dispatched to a report of a disturbance at a Curtis Road motel found Marcus John Griffin, 25, involved in a dispute with a woman.

Police said that the San Diego man was setting up encounters between two prostitutes and clients at the motel. Griffin was also receiving money from the encounters, police allege.

Griffin was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail. He faces felony charges for procurement of prostitution and receiving the funds of a prostitute.

If convicted, Griffin would face a minimum of two years in prison for each charge.
