Idaho State making strong showing at college rodeo finals


CASPER, Wyo. - Idaho State leads the women's team standings, and freshman Kimberlyn Fehringer (American Falls High) leads the women's all-around standings with three nights left at the College National Finals Rodeo.

Fehringer won the Wednesday performance of breakaway roping, and leads the overall. She's also fifth overall after three performances of barrel racing. Fehringer has 315 points, while Hayden Segelke of Northeastern Junior College second with 180.

Idaho State leads the women's team standings with 410 points, followed by Northeastern (255), Blue Mountain Community College (160) and Mesalands Community College (160). The rodeo ends Saturday night.
