B29 STREATERY

283-7592, b29streatery.com

A mobile love child of Dustan Bristol's Brick 29 Bistro in Nampa, this food truck is not your ordinary meal on wheels. The menu changes frequently, but if you find it serving its to-die-for BLAT with house-candied bacon, jump in line - it's worth the wait.

Also try the Kobe patty melt with caramelized onions, jalapeno aioli and blue cheese. Don't forget the fries with herbal sea salt and Swiss cheese fondue. And there's the occasional offerings of brisket, short ribs, tacos and Asian slaw salad with chicken.

B29 Streatery helped create the Treasure Valley's food-truck love affair two years ago. What began as a food and brew event by the Streatery and Payette Brewing Co. soon became a full-blown Food Truck Rally.

The event now moves from place to place each month with hungry followers awaiting word on the next location. The Boise rally inspired the Streatery to start a Nampa iteration last year, and the folks at Brick 29 have partnered with the city of Nampa for fourth Friday rallies at Lloyd's Square.

Keep track of the Streatery's whereabouts through Facebook or Twitter. Or catch it at the next Boise Food Truck Rally from 5 to 9 p.m. June 14 at The Idaho Foodbank, 3562 S. TK Ave. Find out what other trucks will be there at Facebook.com/FoodTruckRally.
