Boy's drowning ruled an accident

— A 6-year-old boy who drowned in an Boise pool Wednesday afternoon has been identified by the Ada County coroner.

The death of Mohamed Hassan was ruled to be an accident. Hassan was found in the pool at the Arbor Crossing apartment complex.

CPR was in progress when first responders got to the scene. The child was taken to St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The Boise Police Department is investigating the drowning.
