FISHING

Wet a line with Ada commissioners June 15

It's 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Williams Pond in Boise's Marianne Williams Park. Idaho Fish and Game will have its "Take Me Fishing" trailer on site to provide fishing gear and expertise, and anyone who registers at the trailer will not need a fishing license to participate.

HIKING

Catch sunsets/moonrises from Foothills perch

It is a moderately strenuous 90-minute hike to get to the viewpoint overlooking Downtown Boise on the Central Ridge Trail in Military Reserve.

The hikes are for people 16 and older. The dates and times are: 9:10 p.m., June 23; 8:30 p.m., July 22; 7:15 p.m., Sept. 19; and 6:30 p.m., Oct. 18. Hikes leave from Fort Boise Community Center, 700 Robbins Road.

Cost is $5 for Boise city residents and $7.75 for nonresidents. To register go to parks.cityofboise.org, call 608-7680, or stop by Fort Boise Community Center.
