Boise Mayor Dave Bieter Wednesday pointed to Micron Technology Inc’s. completion of its research and development center as an example of enterprise that is helping the city rebound after the recession.

Micron has completed its research and development expansion at the Boise campus, which has three levels and 111,000 square feet, Bieter pointed out at his State of the City address.

Micron said the building is a global corporate research and development operation with 50,000 square feet of clean room space. The operation gives Micron a place for further research into cutting-edge memory technologies, said Dan Francisco, Micron spokesman.
