BPD busts two alleged members of retail theft crime ring

June 12, 2013

A pair of Boiseans arrested Monday night on felony warrants were part of a theft ring that targeted more than a dozen stores across the Treasure Valley, police said.

Peggy Sue Williams, 47, and Lex Greer Lowman, 49, were arrested in connection with a March stereo theft. The suspects allegedly used a duffle bag to steal the equipment from a store on Milwaukee Avenue March 13.

Lowman and Williams removed a security device from the stereo before taking it from the store, police said.

During the investigation into the theft, police found evidence that the pair had been involved in a string of other thefts across the Treasure Valley. Lowman and Williams allegedly worked with others to commit the thefts over the past year, police said.

Additional charges and arrests are likely pending, police said. Several other alleged members of the crime ring have been identified as suspects.

Both Williams and Lowman were booked into the Ada County Jail Monday night. They each face a charge of felony burglary.
