Knife theft leads to felony charge for Boise man

June 12, 2013

A 30-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly took several knives from a South Federal Way store.

Employees told police that they saw William Arthur Anderson conceal several knives and other items in the shop, then leave without paying.

Officers caught Anderson as he was crossing the street and arrested him. The knives and other goods were returned to the store, according to the Boise Police Department.

Anderson faces a charge of felony burglary because police say he went into the store with the intent to steal the merchandise.

He was booked into the Ada County Jail Tuesday night.
