Fire crews battled a house fire Tuesday afternoon on the 900 block of South Day Drive off South Vista Avenue in Boise.

Officials said the fire - which a resident of the home said started in a barbecue and ignited the rear of the house - was called in at 5:44 p.m. and under control at 6:06 p.m.

The damage was contained to the back of the home, officials said, however flames did extend into the attic and caused damage there as well.

The cause is under investigation but appeared accidental.
