Man charged for police car break-in

— An Oregon man was arrested in Boise early Sunday morning after he attempted to steal items out of a police car, according to the Boise Police Department.

Juan Jose Vasquez, 25, allegedly climbed into the passenger side of the police vehicle and began rummaging through a bag that had been left in the car.

The vehicle was on the scene of an unrelated emergency at 6th Avenue and Grove Street. Several officers at the scene said they saw the man getting into the vehicle.

Vasquez, of Nyssa, Ore., was arrested and charged with felony burglary. He was booked into the Ada County Jail at 3:19 a.m. Sunday.
