Brushfire near Buhl nearly contained

BUHL — Firefighters on Saturday evening anticipated containing a fire that has scorched 350 acres north of Buhl.

The fire was reported at 9:30 p.m. Friday about five miles northwest of Buhl.

Five engines from the Twin Falls District of the federal Bureau of Land Management responded to the fire, along with crews from rural fire districts in Buhl and Castleford.

The cause of the fire, which has burned mostly grass and sagebrush, is unknown.

The BLM expects to continue to mop up the blaze through Sunday evening.
