Boise man arrested for child porn Friday

June 7, 2013

A Boise man was arrested on felony charges Friday after police found child pornography on his computer earlier in the year.

Detectives with the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began investigating Brandon Thomas Thorne in January after finding evidence that the 26-year-old was sharing illegal images over the Internet.

Investigators confiscated a computer and other items from Thorne’s West Rosecroft Court home in March.

He has been charged with seven counts of felony sexual exploitation of a child, according to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office. He faces up to ten years in prison on each charge.

Thorne was booked into the Ada County Jail Friday morning. He is scheduled for an initial hearing Monday afternoon.
