A Meridian man was arrested Friday night after a citizen spotted him on the roof of a store in Boise and called 911. The witness told police that Joshua Agyapas Smith, 20, had been fiddling with duct work on the roof, police said.
When officers arrived at the Milwaukee Street store, Smith appeared to be attempting to hide, according to police.
After the suspect allegedly ignored several orders to surrender, officers used a Boise Fire Department ladder truck to get on the roof.
Smith was immediately found and arrested. He was charged with misdemeanor trespass and resisting and obstructing officers. He was also charged with violating his probation on a felony fraud conviction from 2012.
Smith was booked into the Ada County Jail Saturday morning.
