Fresh Betty Spaghetti takeout and delivery restaurant open in Meridian

A new takeout and delivery spaghetti restaurant is now open in Meridian. Fresh Betty Spaghetti, a 1940s-themed store next to Fred Meyer on Fairview and Locust Grove, doesn't "give you a lot of options," said owner and manager Sean Pearce.

"But you do get a lot of food that's good, fast and inexpensive," he said. "It's a great alternative to take-out pizza for busy moms and dads."

Customers choose between two sauces — with meat or without — and four kinds of meatballs — beef, chicken, beef/pork mixed and a rotating special recipe. The store also serves meatball sandwiches, salad and bread.

Meal prices range from $4.49 to $17.99, including noodles and sauce, salad and bread. Meatballs are $1.49 each.

The owners operated three local Gandolfo's Deli franchises for four years. They sold them in January 2010.

If the new store is successful, the owners will aggressively expand in the Treasure Valley and beyond, they said in a press release.

Takeout and delivery hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Call 906-7599 for details or to order. Click here to see photos of the restaurant.
