UPDATE: Meridian man killed in motorcycle crash Sunday

May 28, 2013

— The Ada County Coroner has released the name of the 20-year-old man killed in a motorcycle wreck Sunday.

Robert Nersveen of Meridian died of blunt force trauma after he collided with a car on Fairview Avenue near the Bryson Road intersection.

He was not wearing a helmet.

Nersveen was traveling west and passing cars on the right, witnesses said. His motorcycle collided with an eastbound car as the vehicle turned left.

Boise Police Department spokeswoman Lynn Hightower said that Nersveen was traveling at an “extreme rate of speed” when the crash happened.

He was transported to a local hospital, and died soon after arrival. A passenger in the car was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed against the woman who was driving the car. She was not injured.

The wreck is still under investigation, police said.
