Young Boise man dies in motorcycle crash

— A Boise man was killed Sunday when his motorcycle was hit by a car on Fairview Avenue.

Police say the young rider was going west near the intersection of Bryson Road near Cloverdale at around 10:30 p.m. when he was struck by the eastbound car as it was turning left. Witnesses reportedly told police that the motorcyclist was traveling fast and passing vehicles on the right as he went down Fairview.

His name has not yet been released. He was transported to a hospital where he died soon after arrival. A passenger in the car also was injured and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The motorcycle driver was not wearing a helmet or any protective gear at the time of the crash.

The driver of the car was not injured. Boise police are investigating the fatal accident.
