Woman's body pulled from Boise River

May 25, 2013

— Police and the Ada County Coroner's Office are working to identify the woman and find a cause of death, according to a press release Saturday.

According to Boise police, two people reported a body floating in the river at 9:08 a.m. Saturday, just west of the Main Street bridge. A police officer and the Boise Fire Dive Rescue team were able to reach the woman's body and pull her out near 38th Street in Garden City.

More details weren't immediately available Saturday morning, and police said the matter was still under investigation. It's not clear how the woman died or how long she had been in the river; the press release stated "It was apparent to rescuers the woman was deceased."
