Boise man charged with DUI on moped

May 24, 2013

A moped rider was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence early Friday morning.

Boise police pulled over Anton Darnel Moore, 35, near Americana Boulevard and Shoreline Drive after reportedly seeing him change lanes several times without signaling.

Moore seemed intoxicated and failed several field sobriety tests, police said.

He was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail, where a breath test showed him to have a blood alcohol level of .17/.17.

Moore has previous convictions for DUI from 2006 and 2008, making the current charge a felony. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison.

He also faces a misdemeanor charge of violating his probation out of Canyon County.
