Country singer? Arena rocker? Tropical drink sipper? Blending all three personas like a smooth margarita, Kenny Chesney has sold more than 30 million albums and won pretty much every Nashville-related award in sight.
The formula will propel his "No Shoes Nation" tour into stadiums this summer, as well as more modest facilities such as Taco Bell Arena next week.
Casual observers might not "get" Chesney's schtick, but if you note where he recorded his latest album, "Life on a Rock" - Jamaica, London and Nashville - it's easier to grasp the "island cowboy" allure.
