Boise men face burglary charge

May 23, 2013

— A pair of alleged burglars were arrested early Thursday morning after Boise police officers spotted them inside a fenced compound. The officers were responding to a burglary alarm at a North 34th Street business when they saw Joshua Lynn Thompson, 20, and Brandyn Thompson, 18.

The two men attempted to flee when they saw the officers, police said. They were taken into custody a short distance away.

Police found evidence that the pair had planned to steal items from inside the compound, they said.

The Thompsons were booked into the Ada County Jail Thursday, and each face a felony burglary charge.

Brandyn Thompson is also charged with misdemeanor failure to appear, stemming from a minor in possession charge last year.

If convicted of burglary, each man could face up to 10 years in prison.
