Murphy's Seafood & Steakhouse, a Boise dining landmark at 1555 Broadway Avenue for nearly 30 years, will serve its last meal Thursday.

"We've been struggling for a number of years and didn't see anything getting better," Kevin Martinez, regional manager for Ram International — which operates two Treasure Valley Ram brewpubs in Boise and Meridian - said Monday.

Martinez said he started his career with Ram International 27 years ago at Murphy's. He said it opened as Murphy's in December 1985, and it operated as the Ram from 1973-1985.

Murphy's employs about 40 people.

"We are doing whatever we can to help them," Martinez said.

If you have Murphy's gift card, you have two options, according to Martinez. You can either get a refund or use the card at one of the Ram locations. If you want a refund, Martinez said to call Murphy's at 344-3691.
