Steven V. Carlson, 28, is now charged with misdemeanor child enticement.

Boise police say an investigation into a suspicious incident May 13 led them to Carlson. According to police, that's when Carlson met a juvenile female in an alley near North Hartman Street and Fairview Avenue and allegedly offered her illegal drugs and alcohol if she would visit him at a house.

The female reported the incident to police, who worked with the Boise City Prosecuting Attorney's Office to procure a warrant for Carlson.

Carlson was released from the Ada County Jail Monday on $25,000 bond, according to online court records.

Child enticement carries a first-offense punishment of up to six months in jail and up to a $1,000 fine.
