TRAFFIC ALERT: Signal at State and Linder to be shut down Tuesday night

May 14, 2013

— The Idaho Transportation Department is alerting drivers to a traffic signal shutdown Tuesday night in Eagle.

The signal is at Idaho 44 (West State Street) and North Linder Road. Crews wlll shift northbound and southbound traffic on Linder to the east from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday. The intersection will be restricted to one lane at times, ITD said.

Although the signal will be working again by Wednesday morning, the traffic shift on Linder will stick around for several months during work on the intersection. The work is part of ITD's Linder to Ballantyne Lane improvement project on Idaho 44.

When complete, the new intersection will have two through lanes on Idaho 44, double left-turn bays on Linder and right-turn lanes at all four sides of the intersection. Idaho 44 also will be widened to five lanes between State Street and Linder.
