The newly formed Idaho Health Insurance Exchange has a big job trying to promote its services across the state.

To do so, the Exchange is looking for a company with the communications expertise to reach pockets of uninsured people around the state.

The Exchange issued a Request for Information to companies interested in taking on the job.

Mark Estess, Exchange board member, said the Exchange is looking for companies with the experience to coordinate and execute a state-wide outreach program. He said the job would be more akin to marketing and education than advertising.

“We have lots of unique stakeholders across the state with tribes and pockets of uninsured groups,” Estess said. “(Companies) need to demonstrate the ability to reach different populations on a regional, state-wide and local basis.”

Estess encouraged anybody interested in submitting information can request a copy of the RFI by emailing
