Outage caused by blown transformer is over

Power is back on in Boise after a transformer blew this morning, according to Idaho Power.

Crews worked to repair the transformer on 36th and Taft Street in Boise's North End.

The outage is affecting almost 200 customers in Boise, due to downed power lines. Customers in the area of Tamarack Street, Burke Avenue, Taft Street, Bush Avenue, 38th Street and Woody Drive were without electricity, according to Idaho Power.
