Research biologist Jay Carlyle with the Idaho Bird Observatory at Boise State teams up with biologist Fletcher Smith from the Center for Conservation Biology in Virginia to tag a female Long-billed Curlew outside of Middleton Thursday May 9, 2013. They also attach a radio transmitter hoping to follow the bird's migration patterns.
