Jason Martin Cochrane, 36, faces one charge of felony aggravated battery after the Thursday afternoon incident. He and the victim, who live together on North Collister Drive, were arguing over an ongoing personal matter, according to the Boise Police Department.
During the argument, Cochrane allegedly hit the victim in the head and arm with a two-foot-long piece of wood. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Cochrane was booked into the Ada County Jail. If convicted of aggravated battery, he faces up to fifteen years in prison.
