Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State softball beats Nevada in series opener


The Broncos scored 10 runs in the first three innings en route to a 10-2 victory in five innings over Nevada at Dona Larsen Park. Holly Bourke played in her school record-breaking 215th game for BSU (24-25-1, 8-8 Mountain West) and extended her on-base streak to 22 games. Tara Glover and Makenna Weir extended their hitting streaks to nine and seven games, respectively.

BSU MEN'S GOLF: T.K. Kim was selected to the All-Mountain West team.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO WOMEN'S GOLF: For the second straight season, Trish Gibbens earned one of four individual at-large berths to the NAIA Championships, set for May 21-24 at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb.

IDAHO STATE SOFTBALL: Hailey Breakwell hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the Bengals (29-21) to a 10-9 eight-inning victory over Sacramento State in the first game of the Big Sky tournament in Pocatello.
