'Valley Visions 2013' showcases Boise students' talents

11th annual edition

The collection of juried writings and artwork celebrates the literary and artistic abilities of the Boise School District's high school students.

The contestants

This year's selection includes 50 writers and 46 artists from the five schools: Boise, Borah, Capital, Frank Church and Timberline.

550 entries

Writing and art students from the high schools; their advisers; and language arts instructor David Archibald-Seiffer and art teacher Patricia Thorpe, both from Timberline High School, made the selections.

The book

All of the selected entries are featured in a 47-page book, "Valley Visions 2013," which can be viewed online or purchased for $15 at the high schools or the district office.
