Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State softball drops series finale in Vegas

The Broncos were limited to four hits while giving up two home runs in a 5-0 loss at UNLV on Sunday. Holly Bourke led the BSU offense, going 2-for-3 with a double for her 12th multi-hit game of the season. It was the second time the Broncos (23-25-1, 7-8 Mountain West) have been shut out in conference play. Boise State pitchers have allowed the most home runs (49) in the Mountain West this season. BSU MEN’S GOLF: T.K. Kim finished fifth at the Mountain West Championships after posting three-straight rounds of par or better. Kim carded an even-par 71 in the final round at the 7,144-yard Catalina Course at OMNI Tucson National in Tucson, Ariz., to finish at 2-under 211. Boise State finished tied for seventh place with Wyoming after a three-day score of 897 (45-over). New Mexico won the tournament at 8-under 844, and UNLV’s Kevin Penner earned medalist honors at 206. IDAHO STATE SOFTBALL: The Bengals won the Big Sky regular season title after a 6-3 win over Sacramento State. ISU (28-21, 14-4 Big Sky) will host the conference tournament Thursday through Saturday.
