Boise State assistant named Utah State men's tennis coach

STATESMAN STAFFMay 3, 2013

Clancy Shields, a former Boise State tennis player and assistant coach the past four seasons with the Broncos, was named the head men's tennis coach at Utah State on Thursday.

The Aggies went 7-15 overall and 2-4 in Western Athletic Conference matches this season. They will join the Mountain West Conference next season.

Shields was the 2009 WAC player of the year as a senior, and is one of only two Broncos (his brother, Luke, is the other) to reach the NCAA singles tournament three times.
