Pacific Rim Wine Stop on State Street has closed

Pacific Rim Wine Stop, a small wine store and grab-and-go restaurant on State Street, closed Tuesday.

The store opened in June, owned and operated by the same family who ran Pacific Rim Restaurant in Boise's North End a couple of decades ago.

"Despite your support over the last several months, we have not been able to generate the customer traffic necessary to cover the overhead expenses of the store," owners and employees Rob, Janet, Sean and Chris Weston said in an email announcing the closure.

The store's accessories, decor, equipment, furnishings and other items are for sale, the email said.

The small restaurant, at 2870 W. State St., was previously the home of Amigo's Mexican Restaurant, which moved across the street into a larger spot.
