Ada Count Pet of the Week: Selphy the domestic shorthair

April 30, 2013

Selphy, 2, is a spayed female, black, domestic shorthair cat. Selphy arrived at the shelter as a stray from the Boise Bench. She is quiet and mellow. She is a little hesitant with people, but will warm up with socialization. She loves to be petted, but she would prefer not to be carried. Once you start petting Selphy, she lays down so you can pet her whole body and she will not let you stop. She will enjoy spending time with gentle people. She would do best in a home with older children. Selphy is very loving and ready for a loving family to play with her. Please give this lovely lady a committed home she deserves.

Selphy can be found in kennel 106 (#19409924) at the Idaho Humane Society at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
