The Ada County Coroner's office said Monday that Kenneth Gray was the 51-year-old Boise man who was killed in a single-motorcycle crash Friday night on Idaho 21.
Gray died of severe blunt force injury, the coroner's office said, after he lost control of his motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office said the wreck happened just before 8:15 p.m. about three-quarters of a mile above the Boise River Diversion Dam.
The victim was heading south on a 2010 BMW motorcycle, the sheriff's office said. It appeared as if the man lost control after going off the right shoulder of the highway and hitting a basketball-sized boulder.
The man died instantly, officials said.
