Saint Alphonsus to open New Plymouth clinic Wednesday

April 29, 2013

A new Saint Alphonsus medical clinic will open Wednesday in New Plymouth.

The clinic, an offshoot of Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario, Ore., will offer primary care and connections to more advanced services, according to a Monday press release. It will be located at 213 North Plymouth Ave.

"Families and individuals often have a difficult time finding transportation, and financial resources to travel outside of their communities particularly for primary medical care," Rick Palagi, CEO of the Ontario hospital, said in the release. "That is why the Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Ontario is committed to this project."

The clinic will inhabit the 3,100-square-foot former site of Internet Truckstop, an Internet-based transportation company. The two companies partnered on the transition.

An open house and ribbon cutting is planned for 4-5:30 p.m. May 7.
