The future of Bronco Stadium

April 28, 2013

Here's what Boise State Athletic Director Mark Coyle said about possible upgrades to the 37,000-seat stadium:

• Expansion: "We need to take a hard look at what we've done. We have grown so quickly. … We need to improve our game-day atmosphere. I don't know that that means a bigger stadium. What can we do now to add to the assets we have in place? I want to get in the habit of filling up Bronco Stadium for every game."

• Video board: "We desperately need new video boards (in Bronco Stadium and Taco Bell Arena). Our video boards, they've served their purpose. … We're talking to people right now about what do we need to do. We have to identify funds. … A new video board and sound system are priorities for us." He said it's possible the Bronco Stadium video board could be replaced for this season.
