Power has been restored to nearly everyone affected by an outage in Boise Friday afternoon.
At 12:49 p.m., a construction crew truck hit a power pole in Downtown Boise Friday afternoon, cutting power to roughly 3,370 customers, according to Idaho Power.
By 1:40 p.m., power had been restored to all but 7 customers, spokesman Kevin Winslow said.
The outage affected an area stretching from the area of Warm Springs and Old Penitentiary Road to Capital Boulevard, and as far north as to Shaw Mountain Road. "That pole stretches quite a ways," Winslow said.
The incident knocked out traffic lights, and Idaho Power asked drivers to take care and treat intersections as four-way stops until the electricity was restored.
