A 27-year-old Boise man was arrested by police early Friday morning after authorities said he smashed a chair and a sign at a bar.

Dustin P. Fowler was charged with felony malicious injury to property. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.

Police say they saw Fowler smash a chair, which belonged to the bar, on the sidewalk outside the bar. They also said he smashed a sign inside the bar as he left the building.

Fowler had a dispute with another patron, police said.

He was booked into the Ada County Jail.
