Todd Snider performs May 1 at the Egyptian Theatre.

  • Todd Snider

8 p.m. May 1, Egyptian Theatre, 700 W. Main St., Boise. $25, at The Record Exchange, Egyptian Theatre box office, 387-1273, or egyptiantheatre.net. $28 at the door. Opening: Ashleigh Flynn.

Americana singer-songwriter Todd Snider makes a living with his attitude and wit. Whether tapping his sense of humor ("Beer Run") or shrugging off life's challenges ("I Can't Complain"), Snider has a terrific way with words.

Rolling Stone ranked his latest album, "Agnostic Hymns & Stoner Fables," as the 47th best of 2012. Is that an honor or an act of ridiculousness? Ask Snider at his show next week at the Egyptian Theatre. He's bound to have something funny to say about it.
