Micron Technology Inc.’s Hybrid Memory Cube has been named the top memory product of the year by two of the industry’s best respected publications.

The announcement came at the EE Times and Education Design News ACE Awards.

Micron’s hybrid memory cube pairs electronic processing with memory storage. The result is memory that works faster, keeping up with processors and closing in on the so-called memory wall.

“Electronic Design News and EE Times are two of the industry's most influential and well-read publications by design engineers and system architects,” said Brian Shirley, vice president of Micron's Dynamic Random Access Memory solutions group. "We are honored that they share our vision for the unprecedented impact and value that Hybrid Memory Cube brings to the electronics industry.”
