Boise’s Coldwell Banker Tomlinson Group promotes leader

April 24, 2013

Bob Van Allen has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Coldwell Banker Tomlinson Group, a leading Boise real estate broker.

Van Allen has been a leading residential salesman at the brokerage firm and in the Boise area for nearly a decade.

Van Allen said the new job would mean less time with clients and more time with managers at Coldwell Banker Toimlinson Group's four regional offices.

“It'll be more time at a desk and more time working with managers and agents trying to help them grow their respective businesses,” Van Allen said.

CEO Larry Laraway said the Van Allen will be a positive addition to Coldwell leadership in a Wednesday press release.

“The local real estate market is expanding rapidly, and Coldwell Banker Tomlinson Group is excited to expand our leadership team accordingly, with Bob Van Allen, one of the area’s most promising up-and-coming leaders,” Laraway said.

Coldwell Banker, which sells commercial and residential real estate, has nearly 3,100 offices and about 85,000 sales associates and brokers, according to the release.

The Boise office is Coldwell’s third-largest nationwide, closing in more than $1.4 billion in sales in 2012, according to the release. Coldwell has more than 650 agents in Washington and Idaho.
