Landlord Training Program returning to Nampa

April 24, 2013

The City of Nampa is bringing back its popular Landlord Training Program.

The City will host one-day training sessions at 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 9 at the Nampa Civic Center.

The classes are designed for all who rent out or manage property. Discussions will be led by John Campbell of Campbell DeLong Resources, a Portland, Ore.-based business consulting firm.

Topics will include strategies for applicant screening, rental agreements, eviction, changes in Idaho statutes and working with police.

The Tuesday class will feature discussions specifically for private landlords, including those who accept Section 8 vouchers through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The Thursday discussion will target subsidized and public housing providers, including low-income housing tax credits and home subsidized properties.

Idaho Statesman is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news.
