The Walk 150 event is being held in conjunction with Unplug and Be Outside week.
For Walk 150, Mayor David H. Bieter has pledged to walk 150 miles in honor of the citys sesquicentennial. Participants are urged to log their miles at www.walk150.org.
Unplug and Be Outside is a weeklong series of free family activities intended to get kids active. The program sponsor is Be Outside Idaho, a statewide coalition of agencies and organizations focusing on the healthy benefits of play. For a calendar of events, see www.unplugandbeoutside.com.
