A Boise man was arrested early Monday by the Idaho State Police for a variety of charges after he sped west through the city on Fairview Avenue.

Michael Emmons Highley Sr. was charged with driving under the influence, fleeing police, obstructing officers, driving with an invalid driver's license, and a parole violation. He was stopped with spikes by Meridian Police at Eagle Road and Chinden Boulevard.
