Story Time with Justeen: Saturday, April 27, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. For some, reading is an escape from reality to worlds of adventure and excitement. For others, it's a time to relax and let the mind be taken far away from the world it knows all too well. For me, reading brings to life an unknown or forgotten persona we all keep within. Story Time readings will engage the reader and listeners in a unique exploration of the inner child and release an imagination that is often suppressed by society. I hope to bring to light the beauty of the written word and the importance of encouraging a child's mind to imagine, learn and grow. Hyde Park Books, Boise.

Book Club for Adults: Creating Scenes In Short Stories and Novels, Tuesday, April 30, 7-8 p.m., Boise Public Library main branch.
