Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State men's tennis rallies for win over Nevada

The Broncos earned a 5-2 win in their regular-season finale Friday at the Boas Tennis Center. After dropping the doubles point, BSU won five of the six singles matches. Filipp Pogostkin clinched the win with a 6-0, 6-7, 6-4 victory. BSU opens the Mountain West Tournament against Air Force on Thursday in Colorado.

BSU TRACK & FIELD: The Broncos set three school records in two days at the Mt. San Antonio College Relays in Walnut, Calif. On Friday, the women's 4x100 relay team (Heather Pilcher, Taryn Campos, Mackenzie Flannigan and Destiny Gammage) placed fifth in 45.67 seconds. On Thursday, Marisa VanderMalle clocked a 10:27.24 in the 3000-meter steeplechase to place 13th, and Emma Bates placed third in the 10,000 with a time of 33:49.64.

BSU SOFTBALL: The Broncos' game against San Diego State on Friday was postponed by rain. The teams will play a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dona Larsen Park. Friday's tickets will be honored Saturday.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO TRACK & FIELD: Two Coyotes hit NAIA "A" standard qualifying marks at the Oregon Relays in Eugene. Greg Montgomery placed third in the 5,000 meters (14:11.70), while teammate Dominic Bolin also hit the standard in 14:37.99.
