Boise Fire investigators are trying to figure out what caused a blaze which significantly damaged a home in the 100 block of Peasley Street Thursday afternoon.
Fire officials say the blaze started on the first floor of the home just after 12:30 p.m.
A report of the fire was called into Ada County dispatchers at 12:38 p.m. When crews arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from the first floor and called for a second alarm.
The crews had the blaze out by 1 p.m. but the first and second floor sustained some fire damage. No one was home at the time and no one was injured, officials said.
The home is located on the corner of Peasley and Alpine streets, just west of the Boise Depot.
