Ada County's residential real estate market wasn't much busier in March than it was the same time last year. But homes commanded significantly higher prices in March than they did a month earlier, according to data from the Intermountain Multiple Listing Service.
The median price for a single-family home in Ada County last month was $186,750, up from $180,000 in February. A total of 555 single-family homes sold in March 23 more than in March 2012.
A total of $126 million changed hands for single-family homes in Ada County last month, about the same amount as January and February combined.
Slightly fewer homes were on the market in March than in the previous year. Those on the market found buyers within 67 days on average, one week faster than in March 2012.
Northern Meridian had the two areas with the highest number of sales. Forty-eight homes sold at a median price of $216,287 in Northeast Meridian, and 67 sold at a median price of $181,500 in Northwest Meridian.
Northeast Boise homes commanded the highest median price, at $352,089.
