She was the only individual in the 103-woman field under par. The score also ties her career best for a single round. She holds a four-stroke lead. BSU shot 307 as a team and enters Tuesday's second round with a seven-stroke lead over Northern Arizona.
BSU MEN'S GOLF: The Broncos are tied for 13th with a score of 310 at the Cowboy Classic in Scottsdale, Ariz. Charlie Marusiak (3-over 73, sixth) and T.K. Kim (74, tied for 10th) are both in the top 10 after the first round at the 7,133-yard Talking Stick Golf Club.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO GOLF: Trish Gibbens holds a five-shot lead after 36 holes, and the women's team leads the College of Idaho Invitational at River Bend Golf Course by four strokes (699). Kyle DeLorey is tied for the lead in the men's tournament, helping the Coyotes to ninth place. The Northwest Nazarene men are in sixth entering the final round.
