Organization promotes a dangerous procedure
Planned Parenthood is coming to Meridian. This group claims they are establishing a clinic to provide more access for women's health? This is so far from the truth that it is almost laughable.
This group is the largest provider of abortions in the world.
Whoever talks to women that have been lied to about the "safety" of abortion? It has been proved over and over again that abortion is not a safe, simple procedure that gets rid of an "unwanted" pregnancy. It is a dangerous procedure that most often has lifelong effects.
Since 1973, over 55 million live human beings have been murdered in the womb before even being given a chance at life, and they do feel pain as they are being ripped apart. There is proof of this.
Planned Parenthood has been caught in one scandal after another and continues to bully anyone who gets in their way.
Millions of our tax dollars are dumped into this sewer.
Folks, do you even care? Obviously not, or this evil would not have the power that it has gained. I encourage you to seek out the truth ... if you have the guts to do so.

Group is no advocate
As a committed Catholic, I sincerely appreciated Mr. Popkey's balanced article on pro-life. I do take issue, however, with Ms. Bush's unpleasant letter of March 10.
Her characterization of those who protest the immoral destruction of the unborn as "self-righteous religious zealots" demonstrates a profound misunderstanding of why these kind and humble individuals are out there in the elements enduring considerable secular abuse.
As Christians they believe that a fetus is not just a blob of protoplasm, it is a human being with a soul, which contrasts dramatically with Ms. Bush's secular view.
Is Planned Parenthood interested in women's health? I'm afraid not. Margaret Sanger's creation is in the lucrative business of abortion. They have destroyed nearly 1 million children in the past three years, half of whom were female.
As to health issues, since 2009, Planned Parenthood's cancer screenings and preventative services have dropped by 29 percent. In addition, chemical contraception certainly does not improve a woman's health. It can prevent pregnancy, but comes with serious health issues for many women. The pill and surgical abortions are simply not healthy choices.
God gave us free will, but we must learn that our choices can come with grave consequences.

Look at the evidence
Regarding abortions in Idaho. Well, thank goodness they leave Idaho to obtain abortions. Except for extreme measures needed to prevent the death of a mother, abortion is repugnant. This isn't about the woman's body. It was about a woman's body when she went to bed with a man.
This is about a baby's body. A real, live human being unable to express his/her rights.
One could just as well do away with the life of an 18-month-old who isn't yet able to express his/her wishes. We would call it murder. A baby in the mother's womb is a live human being and is there to be protected. We would not allow a mother to take a 6-month-old to a clinic somewhere to be done away with because she decided she didn't want it or it wasn't convenient.
This whole notion of a woman's rights when it comes to a live human being with a beating heart is absolute nonsense. Does ignorance still reign regarding the emotional damage done to the mother who chooses this procedure?
Let's not be silly regarding Planned Parenthood anymore - the evidence is clear!

Businesses promote cheap labor, more profits
Have you ever thought that the reason for food stamps, welfare, all of the food banks is for labor and people not making a livable wage, so that business does not have to pay those same people a livable wage, thus labor is cheap, and more profit?
If the people were making a livable wage, then food stamps and welfare could be afforded and bought, paid for by sales purchases, creating sales revenue in the business profit and loss sheets, "from" the labor force themselves, and not from taxes by and from the collective working force for food stamps and welfare.
The trouble with maximizing profits on the backs of cheap labor results in a system like a snake swallowing its own tail. The cheap labor-livable wage is the consumer customer base for sales revenue in the P&L sheets in operating business.
This results in a contractional self-consumption for survival only, creating a consumer customer base, for a nonaffordable profit and loss sheet derived from no sales for creating sales revenue, thus no earnings from sales revenue, to pay for the business supporting cost and expenses for continuity, generating profits and taxes in the process.

Calls are constant
Reading the article in the Statesman about the Idaho Health Insurance Exchange, I was struck by the robocalls sponsored by the Gem State Tea Party. As a daily recipient of illegal robocalls that the Federal Trade Commission and the Idaho Attorney General's Office seem unable to stop, I wonder if anyone will pursue charges against the Gem State Tea Party for its illegal practices.
